St. Jude Meeting AKA Girl's Getaway

Ok, so these pictures are not quite coming out the way I want them to here, but here goes my story. This is Melanie in our Limo at the end of our trip. We just got done with our training and we are heading to the airport.
This picture has very special meaning to Melanie and me. It starts with a story I heard on the radio a couple months back about a Kiss Concert being canceled because Paul Stanley's heart was beating 200 beats per minute. Well anyways I was excited and told Dr. Hwang about it and told him to try to get him to come to Utah. Anyways I can not say to much more because that would be a HIPPA violation and I would not want to break HIPPA.
This is the three of us on the Hollywood Walk of fame!!!Do you like the caption on the sign? That would not be a sign for us since between the 3 of us we have 11 kids!!!LOL!!!
This is the 3 amigos. We had an awesome time. I could not have had more fun, our 2/12 days there we fit in everything we could.
So this is our little cooler the girls made to get there beer cold. We had just returned from our night out. We had ate just ate at the best restaurant Asia de Cuba. It was quite pricey and just all around excellent food. We ordered like 6 appetizers, 8 main courses, wonderful drinks and a really good dessert. St. Jude sure does know how to entertain.
This is the sign that was in the entrance of the St. Jude Plant when we got there. It was in the entrance when we arrived and up all day.
This is me,Bryan, & Shanon after the conference on our way to the airport. We made full use of the stocked Limo.

This is our hotel room. When we got there the first day they had this wonderful tray of cheeses, breads, crackers, and dried grapes, and of course Evian water.
This is us our first night on the Santa Monica Pier. We all paid to have this little man write our daughters names in this cool writing that included dolphins, whales, palm trees, etc. It took him about 20 minutes to do five and he made about $45. Maybe I am in the wrong career. We also ate at Bubba Gumps restaurant. I have never ate there, but believe me if I had the chance I would eat there again. It has a really fun atmosphere and excellent food.
This is us at Venice Beach on the second day. We were dying to feel the sand between our toes. If you have never been to either place they are both really fun to go to. There was a Crazy man that ran around singing "Jingle Bell Jingle Bell help me get drunk." He was quite entertaining, along with the body builders in Speedos and all the other crazies.
Now this is Guy. He is a rep from Medtronic that happened to be on the same flight as us on the way to California. He treated us to this wonderful meal. This is a nice little restaurant on the beach. please do not tell St. Jude we were hanging out with the Medtronic people on their dime. Guy is awesome. He had a rent a car the first night and took us to the Pier. The next day he met us after he did a bunch of cases. He is awesome!!!
This is us the second night with our Limo driver. He took us to many sights and put up with our craziness. Not everyone could do that!! We had a blast. We did learn alot while we were in classes. We just happened to make a lot of the time we had there. It was great. I loved my whole time there. I am glad I went with girlfriends that I love being with. Thanks St. Jude!!!

Twilight Series

So I don't know how many of you have read these books, but boy are they addictive. All the ladies I work with have been reading them, so of course I had to. Little did I know that that would be all that I did for 9 days straight was read one right after the other. I had borrowed the first one, and finished it on a Friday night. I didn't know that by Sunday morning I would need my next dose of Edward. Thank heavens Barnes and Nobles is open on Sunday. I ended up going and getting the next and having them both finished by the following Saturday. These books are all over 600 pages. They are not the usual trashy romance novels I read. The really don't have any trash in them , just alot of other stuff. My friend Melanie that I work with hates reading, but she just finished all three as well, and we are waiting very impatiently for the 4th book to come out. She is a little more addicted then I was. She can remember the car he drove, and was so impressed that her sister bought one. She thinks she gets to drive in Edwards car.LOL!!! My son Ryan is now reading them , and he can't believe how easy they are to read. Stephanie Meyers is LDS and she keeps the books PG. If you want a good read you should read her books they are excellent.

My Graduation Party

So I had a Party to Celebrate my graduation. My Mom and her husband Lewis threw the party for me. They thought I deserved a night to celebrate and remember. I am very glad they insisted on throwing this for me. It meant a lot to me. Alot of my wonderful friends and family were there to help me celebrate. It was because of all of them, and the many that couldn't come that I got my degree. I couldn't have done it without them. Family and Friends is what life is about, and I was blessed to have the best.

My Family Cruise in May 2007

I have to say that that was a vacation I will always remember. Shane I took our 5 kids and my 82 year old grandpa. It was a blast. I love the islands, beaches, free time, and the time I had with my family. If my husband could have relaxed just a little more it might have been a little better. He doesn't like to let the kids out of his sight. We had to keep reminding him to relax a little bit. A cruise is something I think everyone should do. My kids had a great time, and keep saying we are going to take them again, but i know we won't again for a very long time. I loved having the time with my Gramps as well. At 82, now 83, you just don't know how much time we have left with him and I am grateful we had this trip. I think we wore him out, he told me he had to rest for a week when he got back.
